Open to everyone regardless of gender with Stanford Golf Course playing privileges!

 

 

Why Join? Benefits of Membership:

  • USGA handicap.
  • All Genders are welcome, as well as Juniors and Stanford Students, to play in our tournaments with a Regular Membership in the Stanford Men's Golf Club ($145 per calendar year).
  • Get your name permanently engraved on one of the Plaques in the Clubhouse by winning the President’s Cup, Director’s Cup, Senior Championship, or Club Championship.
  • Choose which tees you want to play from in most tournaments, unlike many other clubs where you must play from a specific set of tees.
  • For players 50 and older, access to “home and away” Senior Exchange events with some of the best private courses in the Bay Area – including Lake Merced, Meadow Club and Olympic Club!
  • Opportunities to represent Stanford at NCGA inter-club competitions.

 

How to Join

To apply for Men's Golf Club Membership, please download this form, complete and send to mensclubmembership@stanfordgolfclub.com. Please do not fill out the form through Word for the Web but rather save a local copy. We will need to confirm your eligibility, after which we will reach out to collect dues and activate your membership!

Sat, Feb 3rd Ham & Egg--Scrambled

2-person teams play a net scramble based on the Tees you select as a Team with some interesting twists. 

    Sat, Mar 2nd 52 Card Pick Up This very popular event returns with a format that allows four-person teams to select which 52 of the 72 holes the foursome plays are counted during the round. Holes must be selected after they are played but before the next tee shot so good strategy is a must and the pressure mounts as the round draws to a close.  Scoring in relation to par.
Mar 12 thru June 28 Lucky 7

Take your best score on each hole over 7 rounds you designate before you tee off!  Compete in Flights based on the Tees you select.  Men's Club Regular Members only.

    Sat, Mar 16th 6-6-6 Tournament

In 2-person teams, play 6 holes of net Better Ball, followed by 6 holes of net Alternate Shot, then 6 holes of net Singles.

Sat, Apr 13th Spring Invitational

This popular event allows each Regular Men's Club Member to invite a non-Men's Club Member guest.  A 1-day event with multiple 6-hole formats teaming with your Guest.

April-May (TBD)

Club Championship

A new format for Qualifying and a set schedule for Matches each round will condense this into a much shorter time period.   A scratch flight will determine the Club Champion while others are grouped into flights by handicap.  Format is Match Play with the Championship Flight from the Cardinal Tees, from the Black Tees at Scratch and brackets contested at Net from the Black, Combo and White Tees.  Open only to Regular Men's Club Members.

President's Cup Come play in our annual 2-player net better ball tournament for the President's Cup open only to Regular Men's Club Members  You also have a chance to represent Stanford in the NCAA Senior 4-Ball Net Qualifier.
June-August NCGA Team Matches

12 Stanford players compete with full handicaps in Home and Away Team Matches against three other clubs for the right to continue in NCGA's Thursday Team Match Competition.  Winning Clubs go on to regional competitions.  The Roster for the 12 player Stanford Team usually changes for each of the 6 Matches.  Open only to Regular Men's Club Members.

Sat, July 13th Red, White & Blue Foursome Teams compete in various formats during the round including 2- and 4-player alternate shot and scrambles and 2 Best Balls out of 4.   Everyone has a chance to celebrate their fashion patriotism.

Director's Cup & Senior/Super Senior Championships

Determines the individual overall net Club Champion, Senior Club Champion (age 55 and over at gross from the Black Tees) & Super Senior Club Champion (age 70 and over at gross from the White Tees),  The Director's Cup is flighted and individuals play at net. Open only to Regular Men's Club Members.

Limited Club

Pick only 4 clubs for the round and do your best!  Best 2 net balls from your foursome count.  Also individual net and gross divisions.

Sat, Sept 14th

Play The Course As You Find It

Play the great Stanford course in a setup unlike any you'll ever see. Unique tee locations and pin placements lead to new challenges on every hole. The format is a 4-person scramble.

Sat, Oct 5th Cardinal Cup A Ryder Cup-style tournament for the most active and successful Men's Club Members for the season in two 12-player Teams.  Play well and frequently during the Season to earn Participation and Performance Points to qualify as one of the 24 players competing in this fun and hotly contested Team Event.  Open only to Regular Men's Club Members.
TBD Annual Members' Meeting/Holiday Party The Annual Meeting of Members and Holiday Party often features presentations by the men's and women's golf coaches and annual awards.  Open only to Men's Club Members with either a Regular Membership or a Legacy Membership and their Guests. 

 

 

2024 Senior Exchanges

Fun events where your mixed-club foursome competes in a best 2 balls out of 4 format. Great food and great courses! Must be 50 or older.
